An unexpected side effect of my new daily blogging project?
It’s making me a better mom.
Better in the sense that I’m calmer. More patient. More thoughtful. Less reactive.
Because when you’re committed to chronicling your day-to-day and putting it out for public consumption, it brings a level of awareness to your actions.
It makes you think — is this the story I want to tell?
Is this how I want to be remembered?
And it changes you.
So today I have a challenge:
Give it a try.
Keep a notebook or jot notes in your phone when those tiny moment strike that get you thinking.
Taking a moment to pause, stop and reflect.
About who you are. Who your kids are becoming. On the little joys, the frustrations and the realities of parenthood.
Because when you’re in the thick of things, it’s easy to miss the bliss.
Why not take note?
