I once heard someone say that one child is one and two is a million — and I don’t know about you, but in my personal experience I’d say that’s pretty darn accurate, especially when it comes to sleep.
With my first I have memories of attending to his sleep cues, putting him down for naps or for the night after a lovely ritual of bath time, books and cuddles. Really special one-on-one time where we could go at our own pace completely uninterrupted and on our own terms.
And I completely took it for granted.
Because as I quickly learned, having a baby and a toddler is NO JOKE when one is ready for bed and the other thinks it’s time to bang on the kitchen pots as if he’s in tryouts for the marching band…
On today’s coffee chat I’m sharing some of my best tips for how to deal when your toddler won’t stop waking the baby, including why it’s important to get at the real reason they do it, how to know if your assumption as to why they’re doing it is correct, and some practical tips on what you can do to win their cooperation.
And just as a word of warning — I had a little “mishap” occur as I was filming, but decided to leave it in because if we were really sitting down together to enjoy our morning cuppa, there’d be no hiding it…
So apologies for my weirdness in advance ?
As always, wishing you a fantastic day. Stay awesome and I look forward to chatting again soon!
