Winter was a bit of an experience around here.
It’s always our crazy time of year with the hubs and I both busy with work, me head down in the books plugging away at my Masters, and of course — the inevitable sickness that always seems to descend in February and March.
So now that May has arrived, we’re feeling in need of an escape.
After a quick conversation and a few Google searches, we had our minds made up.
A little sun.
A little sand.
Aaaaand a 14 hour drive.
With both of our families living out of town, we’ve got the 2 to 4 hour road trip on lock.
The epic-monster-mother of all road trips?
Not so much.
While we have some mad skillz, we’re definitely entering uncharted territory.
So I decided to ask for help.
And man, am I ever glad I did.
After reaching out for road trip survival suggestions, I was given this gem by Kate via Facebook:
Her road trip “must have?”
A puke bucket.
How I overlooked this, I have NO IDEA.
But man, am I ever thankful I reached out for help.
And I’m realizing that the more I ask for it, the better.
Being open and sharing ideas and connecting with others in the community is just pure amazingness.
And hello — if it saves me a stinky disgusting mess, I’m all over it.
So if you’re looking for me, I’ll be out in the garage packing up a bucket and spare car seat covers…
