I’m sure you’ve noticed that my posts have looked a little different lately.
The biggest difference being that I’m actually posting again.
The summer was a big slow down period for me, as the kids were home with me full-time. I think I wrote one post in September.
And then crickets.
Why the major pause?
I felt like I didn’t have the time.
To source the ‘perfect’ picture.
To brainstorm the ‘perfect’ headline.
To schedule five tweets, all with slightly different copy.
To create the ‘perfect’ pinnable image.
To do all that ‘stuff’ that everyone tells you you need to do.
So I stopped writing.
I told myself I didn’t care. That it didn’t matter.
No big whoop.
Well, turns out I was wrong.
After a few key conversations and a few new experiences, I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want to spend my time and the kinds of things I want to be doing.
And writing is pretty high up there on the list.
So please excuse the mess.
I likely won’t have fancy pictures or snazzy quotes.
But I promise to give you whatever’s on my mind.
And before I go, I challenge you to think about whatever ‘stuff’ has been holding you back from doing the kinds of things you want to do and living the kind of life you want to live.
Then push it aside and go after the good stuff.
Because in the end, that’s the only ‘stuff’ that matters.
ps. I had a great chat about this very subject with the amazing community of peeps we’ve got going on Periscope. Here’s the video if you want to check it out.
