Ever have one of those days when it feels like it’s just one. obstacle. after. another?
That no matter what you do and just when you think you’ve gotten everything set, everything “fixed,” reorganized and rejigged, another roadblock pops up in your path?
Where you just feel stuck and getting back on track seems impossible?
In these moments my initial response is first to push through.
Suck it up.
Find another way.
But you know what?
This never works. At least not for me.
And I’m not saying to give up or resign yourself to dissatisfaction — not at all.
I’m suggesting that you stop.
Even if just for a second.
Take that pause. Allow yourself some breathing space.
Ask yourself if you need to be focusing this much of your time and energy into whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish.
Maybe the answer will be yes.
And maybe the answer will be no.
Take that second.
It may be the second you need to catch your breath, regroup and find the answer you’ve been looking for all along.
