I’m a terrible cook.
Well, maybe not terrible, but I’m certainly no chef.
Basically the only reason I cook is because we need to eat to survive.
So trying to do something you don’t particularly enjoy and aren’t particularly good at with small kids wanting to “help” isn’t always a cake walk.
I generally try to avoid it, but lately my little dudes have been showing more and more interest in the whole process.
Today we decided to tackle brownies.
After giving myself a silent pep talk, we got down to business.
• Cocoa powder EVERYWHERE
• Glass jar of coconut oil dented the hardwood floor (but didn’t smash, so hurray!)
• A sinkful of dirty dishes
And most importantly, a happy boy one step closer to independently making his dear old mom a batch of brownies.
Well, at least I can hope, anyway. 😉
